Edgeworth Johnstone Edgeworth Johnstone, who also makes a series of paintings under the alias Heckels Horse Jr. is a contemporary artist and musician from Muswell Hill, London.

Five of Johnstones drawings were exhibited at Exhibition 2 in Tate Modern in May 2010. This was an exhibition of outsider artists mainly from the UK around London. A prominent and well catalogued naive art exhibition in central London.

His collaboration paintings with Billy Childish were exhibited in Pushkin House, London, in October 2014 and at Fiumano Clase in Pall Mall in central London in December 2023 in a group show alongside other contemporary artists from the UK including Billy Childish, Peter Doig and Gavin Turk.

The Museum of Everything, a global naive art collection specialising in contemporary outsider art ("the world’s only wandering institution for the untrained, unintentional, undiscovered and unclassifiable artists of modern times.") has recognised Edgeworth Johnstone as a major British contemporary outsider artist and acquired roughly 30 of his works for their permanent collection.

Johnstones work has also been sold by L-13 Light Industrial Workshop in Clerkenwell, London who specialise in British counter-culture art and literature. L-13 has sold works by Edgeworth Johnstone and Heckel's Horse (the painting partnership between Billy Childish and Edgeworth Johnstone). L-13 "works with a small group of artists known for their unorthodox stances, in developing, exhibiting and publishing their work." Steve Lowe, chief operator at L-13 has collaborated with Edgeworth Johnstone and Billy Childish on an oil painting exhibited in Pushkin House, London in 2014.
